Clean My Mac No Serial Needed

Mac 201 Pro Series: How To Reset Clean My Mac  Limitations



Warning : If you are Not a seasoned Mac User, go to this post  (Note edit hyperlink to post)


You must have a basic understanding of what you are doing or you may cause a glitch.  Ok ?


  1. Bullet   You have a brand new install of CleanMyMac, not used yet

  2. Bullet   You have downloaded & installed  TextWrangler


  1. Bullet   If Your Install is not brand new, un-install CleanMyMac with App Cleaner


Go to Finder,  Type  Command + Shift + G  (Go to Window)

type of copy the following  ~/Library/


Or find the file named: com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.Plist  ,

Located in  Macintosh HD/Users/ “yourhomefolder” /Library/Preferences/

Either make a copy that file onto the Desktop , or open it with TextWrangler and make a copy onto the Desktop


Run CleanMyMac as you would to, clean your stuff ....


Once you run into the 209.72 MB limitation, 

REPLACE or Save AS the plist with the copy.

Keep the same name !


If you look into com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.Plist, You’ll see the

following lines:


<integer>209715200</integer>

<key>lastScannedOn</key>

<string>March 28, 2010</string>

<key>lunchCount</key>

<integer>3</integer>

<key>showInfoTab</key>

<true/>

</dict>

</plist>
